SEWING WORKSHOPS IN EDINBURGH
Remode Collective is an award-winning social enterprise based in Edinburgh. We're passionate about exploring ways to repurpose textiles locally, building new skills, and celebrating multicultural diversity.
At Remode, we offer a range of creative workshops, classes, community projects, and events, all centred around textiles, sewing, mending, and sustainable making. From beginner-friendly courses to advanced techniques, there's something for everyone to explore, create, and learn.
In addition to our social and public workshops, we use donated and reclaimed textiles in our classes and community projects, giving materials a new purpose while promoting creativity, sustainability, and the responsible use of resources.
Our vision is to establish a multicultural community of crafters, designers, seamstresses, and tailors who come together to share knowledge and skills while championing sustainable practices.
WHAT WE DO
CLAsSES & WORKSHOPS
We offer a wide range of different classes and workshops for all levels and abilities! Choose from our beginner, intermediate and specific workshops and programmes.
COMMUNITY PROJECT & EVENTS
We run a variety of community projects, including dressmaking and sewing classes, as well as mending and alteration workshops, helping people develop practical skills, improve wellbeing and mental health, build confidence, and promote sustainable fashion and textile reuse.
CONCESSION WORK
It brings us great joy to collaborate with like-minded individuals towards a common goal and share our experiences and effective solutions.

REDUCTION OF WASTE
We recognise the need to tackle this issue and see an opportunity to develop and establish a more circular economy in which we aim to minimize waste and make the most of existing resources.
SOCIAL AND CULTURAL INTEGRATION
Many people experience barriers that can lead to social isolation and reduced confidence. Our sewing programme creates a welcoming space where participants can learn new skills, connect with others, and build confidence through creativity.
IMPROVE EMPLOYABILITY
We help people build confidence, learn new skills, and develop their creative and professional practice through our classes, events, and activities. We also support emerging tutors with teaching experience and, whenever possible, offer work placements to help participants gain valuable real-world experience.

As our name suggests, we are a collective of individuals with diverse skills, cultural backgrounds, and ethnicities, united by a shared passion for sewing, fashion, and design.
Together, we are reimagining sustainable fashion and building a vibrant community where creativity knows no bounds.
